The Nanaimo & District Surfside Society was established in 1979. In 1985 we opened Surfside Recovery House, a supportive facility offering intensive treatment for men suffering from the disease of addiction.

We believe that people are, or can learn to be, responsible for their own lives and decisions.

Our recovery-focused environment facilitates the mental, emotional, and spiritual development of clients through a Twelve Step-centered program. Upon leaving Surfside, clients will be better equipped to lead their lives free from the grips of addiction and to live as happy and healthy citizens, one day at a time.
